Where can I get a proper illustrated workshop Manuel and spares list.I have just acquired a 1963 L E Velocette the cylinders are removed and the engine is still sized. I need to completely strip and overhaul the bike as it has been covered in a carport for about 35 years Thanks Kelvin.

join the LE club , they have all the information and parts you will req , also a tool hire system you will find usefull , see if you can find another motor as these engines can be expensive to rebuild

I have heard this said about the LE many times (most often by those who have never owned one) I have had and rode them for the last 30 years as they were a very cheap bike to buy over here , I paid £35 for my last one , where I live the speed limit on many roads is 20mph and the bike will do 55mph all day so no problem there , each year I go to the dragon rally in February and its cold , but not on a LE , they start and run very nice , parts are cheap and all available , and they are interesting and technically advanced , over the last few years prices of these machines has started to rise as for most it’s the only velocette affordable , this will continue so my advice is buy one why you can just don’t expect to do the ton down the ace café , the MK3 200cc are the best
