I have a NOS BSA crankpin labelled 29-2196. A C10-11 crankpin has a dia. of 0.965". This has a dia. of 1.270". I'm guessing a pre war 500 from the part no. Any ideas?

That part number is correct for the c10/c11 according to the 1947 parts book. It also shows in the 1948 price list as current production.
The alpha bearings catalogue shows that as a b5 big-end which is .968" track diameter. The b6 bearing has a track diameter of 1.272" but the catalogue doesnt give details of model or year.

I just found an older book. b6 fits 1937-9 b23/b24/b25 empire star and silver star etc when fitted with con rod number 65-464

Thanks Mr.Moto. All my C10 crankpins are the small ones so I wondered about this one
