With gas prices the way they are...I'm "iffy" on the trailer.
Its a 1000 miles for me. I get 10 mph pulling the trailer, that's 100 gal, x 3.75 is $375 for gas, another $40 for toll is a whopping $415. No trailer I get 20mpg. ~ $25 for tolls.
Thats 50 gal. x 375 = $188 plus $25 = $213 plus $25 = $238. Roughly $180 more to pull trailer!!!!!!
Nice to be able to pull it just to have storage "in case" I buy something. But I usually don't. If I sell something, I buy something....1 for 1 more than not.
BUT: my friends at time have asked me to transport stuff back, usually no problem...I usually don't mind it if I have it there already. But, I don't think I want to pay so much more to "just in case" transport a buddys machine.
what would you do?????
