That last one is two Bills and Mike. There were a lot of people named Bill and Mike at this TSMR.

The video at the beginning gets my blood going again. Something about the sound of those bikes cranking and going.

Can't mistake Alex and his Royal Star at the rest stop on the BRP. Gotta admire a racer guy who brings the smallest twin to the Rally.

What a weekend! Thanks for the pictures.

So we’re all hanging around the Blowing Rock Inn talking about the next day’s ride:

“Masterblaster! Listen to the LAW!” Gordon in the rider’s meeting prior to the off, keeping us straight. It works; 11 years and a total of 300 riders, and never anyone hurt.

Young Alec tries out his dream “sport bike”, a GB-500 Honda. This was a nice one!

Only one woman on the ride this year, and she’s MINE, ALL MINE, BWAHAHAHA!

Willy had a private name for his “Anyone Can Ride Me” Ducati beater, which actually did very well! Thanks Willy for always bringing extra bikes for people to ride, “just in case”.

And lots and lots of THIS to go round!

Don't hold out on us, Lannis, I know you got a LOT more than that. I rode directly behind you for a stretch, and Fay was working that camera like a Japanese tourist. Show 'em. Greg

I'm low-down and no account about taking photos at bike events, but I'll share a few that my buddy Cass took. First is Cass's view of the camera duel with Gordon. [Linked Image] ... Rear view of Semper Gumby's BSA 650 Gold Wing DeLuxe [Linked Image] ...Another look at that nice Honda [Linked Image] ... Mike G's cool BSA parked beside DPO's Triumph, which ran great all weekend. [Linked Image]. Bruce's (Atlanta Bonnie) pristine '68 Bonneville, which he generously loaned to MikeG to ride Saturday [Linked Image]

Thanks for the compliments. All taken with an iPhone on the Hipstamatic (smaller photos) and Camera+ applications.

I have a few additional sets from some vintage bike racing events in the competition section if anyone's interested (Maxton Speed Trials, AHRMA Vintage MX in Sanford, NC and AHRMA Vintage Cross Country).

I'll back you on that Gordon

Seeing familiar faces & places was nearly, but not quite, as good as being there.
But do tell, what happened to the cloud & rain? TSMR is not TSMR without a bit dampness from what I have seen here.
I remember being told about someone putting wet socks in a microwave to dry them out laughing

There are some superb photos of the route that will enhance the memories disc of our Big Adventure 2010 So folks, without shame & with no malice aforethought I have ripped off some of your pics :bigt

Thank you all for sharing your tales, thoughts & pics clap

Try again. Also, be care where on the link you click, or it's a sell-job for the app.
