Well folks Wendy and I spent the day trying to get the camp grounds sorted.

The day started early. I didn't get a picture of my truck while it was packed...but I can tell you there wasn't much room left. Here we are getting started setting up the common area's canopies.

[Linked Image]

Here's a little more progress.

[Linked Image]

Here's casa Gray for the week.....full of weekend supplies.

[Linked Image]

Casa Geoff....yes that's TWO queen sized air mattresses you see and there's a set of them just like them on the other side of the tent...we call it southern comfort.

[Linked Image]

Okay...we got the common area set up AND got the NEW bb.com banner up.

[Linked Image]

Here's a view back toward the hills.

[Linked Image]

Here's a little something that was sitting outside the country store...ran when parked. I sat there looking it over while I had lunch...there's some really neat stuff on it i'd never relized a RE had...I loved the rear fender struts..and several other bits.

[Linked Image]

I'll not tell ya what Windy said about the entrance....but this marks where you make the turn into the campground.

[Linked Image]

Wendy.....trying to get some plumbing sorted...it ain't all about bikes laughing

[Linked Image]

Here's some stickers Dennis at TRI-STATE SIGNS gave us as a gift to give away...nice heh?

[Linked Image]

I can't thank Dennis enough for all his help. He made the banner and ALL the directional signs we use.

Dennis will be leading a ride from the campground Wednesday May 19. He's arranged for the Rivers Edge Restaurant to open JUST FOR US. That's no small deal folks. He's also got us an invitation to view a very nice collection of bikes.... VERY few people get to see. If Wednesday works out as planned...it will be one to remember, that's for sure. :bigt

Folks it's coming together....some will be showing up this Sunday. Everybody have a SAFE trip and we'll leave a light on for ya.

Your 2010 Three State Mountain Ride hosts...Gordon and Windy.

Aww &^*(!!! I am already bent that I am missing this one and now ya gotta post a pic of a possible spare RE 250..... If there is any way to nab that headlamp ring I want it!! seriously unobtainable , I'd be tempted to buy the basket just for that and the fender rack.... Keep posting the pics , wish I was there .

Bonzo, yea we're REALLY gona miss ya...maybe next year??

[Linked Image]

When I first saw this thing....I just walked by and really didn't pay much attention to it. But I got my lunch and came back out and sat behind it to eat....and was VERY impressed at all the cool stuff it has on it. I never really paid that much attention to RE's....but this thing turned my head.

The rear fender rack has some really cool looking reflectors on the rear of it..they look stock. I'll see what I can do about the headlight ring....but don't get your hopes up.

Somebody had opened up the wiring harness under where the seat goes...I swear the wire looked like it was made yesterday.

The rear fender stays and the center stand also caught my eye.

Next year.....your friend in the HOT as hell south (and it's only May)...I'm working in the yard and it's 90 in the shade.

I think it says something like "snake venom only" on it. You see, the country store is centerally located in the valley along Hwy 412. That section of Hwy 421 is our own version of the famous dragon's tail and it's called "the snake"...so there's a lot of snake reference.

That blue devil is VERY LOUD and annoying. Kinda like some of the HD's that cruse the area. laughing

It was another long day but I think we have everything ready. got the field cut and weed eating the whole distance of the road done, some more cleaning done and the bath house appears to be functioning as it should after the plumbing work yesterday ( hate it when things don't flush properly). Don came in today and is setup along with helping with a little bed moving so the cabins are sorted.

Gordon
We had another rain come through today with a little wind but so far I haven't had to retrieve stuff from the woods.

looking forward to this week and all the old friends again.

Wendy....glad Don made it so you had some help. Yea, I'm been worried about the canopies...they're only staked down at about 75% and I'll do the rest Monday....We've had the storms here too and...well...ya just never know what will happen. I'll get them finished up Monday...and it'll make me rest easier. I have a LOT of extra tarps for people to use if need be...."shebang" training available..no need for anybody's stuff getting wet.

See ya Monday morning and give me a call if you think of anything else I need to bring.... laughing...I've pretty much packed in everything except the kitchen sink laughing...and it'll be on the next load.

we moved the tractor up there and used it to tie off to on the side the wind was coming from so if they left the premises it will be with a 10,000# tractor attached LOL.

THANKS!!!!!! I'll have the rest of the tie downs with me when I get there tomorrow morning. I don't normaly set up the 10x20 so that's where the other tie downs for the big canopies went.

I'm cleaning gutters and mowing grass....I'd rather be up there with you two....but heck...the only time I'd see the two of ya is when you're sitting on the side of the road waiting for me to catch up laughing

Do you know if the Three Mustgetbeers will show up today??? If they do...have Floyd call me here at the house...there's some things I need to tell him about his casa before he gets to "moved in"

Later fellows....GG in NC
