1965 BSA Lightning Rocket

Hello all!
Here is my project bike. Bought it a few months ago and and now in the process of tearing it down and ready to restore it. Part of my issue is that the tank and the chrome headlight dont look right. However, someone mentioned that some of the bikes made for european customers were eventually exported to the US. And that the tanks and other components were different than the US models.. What do you guys think?

As far as i know that is just as homemade-modell (UK), with that bigger tank and chrome light.

Hi Ron,

The '65 model is a great bike. I have one and really like it. Mine is the American export with the long headlight bucket and the big tank. I still run 6-volts, points, and condensers. Seems to run pretty well. Good luck with your project!
