T120RV 1972

This is my Bonneville from 1972. One of the last 650th. I got it last September (2007) and it was in a bad condition. It has been sitting for years. I renewed a lot of parts and it is not completed yet. But the motor is still good. I have ridden about 2000 miles this year. This winter it will get new tyres and a new rear rim. Also I would like some golden pinstripes on the tank. Next year the chains have to be renewed.

2nd photo: New rear rim. The rim is from Central Wheels. The spokes are zinc plated. The hub has been glassblasted. Tyres Bridgestone BT45.

Thanks,
I hope that I can do the pinstripe job in January/February. I'll post some pictures then. Now I enjoy the last sunny days with riding the bike.

Cheers
Ralf

a buddy of mine has one of those, but it has the euro tank. he got it from a guy who had it in his basement for ...well since it was only a year or two old. seems the bloke was in the us militery, stationed in germany. he'd wanted a 650 bonnie and when he heard they were going to the 750 he started looking.
searched and searched all over germany, then europe and then england. FINALLY found one in some small town in england...maybe one of THE last ones?

yours is cool too! nice pic. thanx.
