It came intomy life as a chopper, OIF, bitsa. Collected most parts prior to the internet being available. Runs well enough to take apart again and clean and polish. Anybody know where I can get a different front fender?

Not bad rick.
I hope you have spare parts with it, i see there are missing some.
Looks to me a unfinished resto job by the former
owner.
Make it just a nice as your B34 in the B31 drag.

Hey, the prior owner of the goldstar is my dad. He had a stroke and can't ride, ect. He bought this bike in 1955, the year I was born, and stripped it to race. He had a shop here in the bay area and used to buy brand new engines direct from BSA. I have his AMA no. plates and might just put them back on and leave the bike the way it is. Use a 6v dry cell for a brake light, and off to the races!!

Ye Gads!!!

Brando rode a TRUMPET in "The Wild One"......
And this is the BSA Board..

That's OK. I notice another Triumph showed up on the Royal Enfield "Show Your Photos" thread.... coincidentally also posted by an Aussie...

(Check out the RE pics, BTW, if you haven't already done so.)

Cheers,

Who was asking about B31's? Well, let's see if I can remember how to get a pic on here.http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n80/beezageezauk/B31.jpg
If this turns out ok you should be able to see my well used and almost original B31. Owned since 1974, I've almost lost track of the number of miles I've covered on it. Still in regular use and I'll probably use it for the Belgian BSAOC International Rally in July.

Here's my 66 lightning. Some changes are being done to it at the moment. Smaller solo seat, no front fender and drag bars. Oh yea and working on getting it to run when i want it to not when it wants to...lol Anyway once the kinks worked out i'll prob. ride it for the season than pull it apart for repaint.

Nice looking bike Corsica. I'm glad to hear your endorsement of the Caswell coating. I've got a brand new NOS '66 Spitfire tank that's getting the Caswell treatment.

This is a little shot of my old fella taken last year in the beautiful Blue Mountains of NSW.
Those with good eyesight will notice the lack of a tail lamp.
It fell of & has now been replaced with the new one rivited on.
Not its prettiest but the gravel plays havock with the paint on the girders.
It is a little skitso trying to pretend it is not war issue by hiding behind some chrome, with matching numbers it is reasonable to assume that the green machine never laid a hand on it.

Hello Ola, that's a lovely poster/picture you have posted of the B31. Will you please let us know the model YEAR. I have a B31, 1956, and so am particularly interested in this. I am also interested in other 1956 B31 pictures, as original as possible, so that I can compare what I have and what the original should look like. I'll be posting pictures later, when I bring the bike home to Bangalore from Bombay, where she is at present, but you can see an earlier picture on http://www.draganfly.co.uk/images/world/india1.jpg
