Thanks for the welcome Jon and Konon.
I've down-sized considerably from past days of working out of a large industrial space. Gone back to basics and loving it. Organization has been key to making it work out of my suburban home garage.

New to me! Bought on a picture from an email with little information. The gamble was not that it ran but that it might be a 500 let alone a GS! 1953 BSA BB34 Gold Star Touring Fired up with a 376 donor carb, cleaning the mag points and some oil...and getting the engine to turn over after diagnosing a stuck piston. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/qS3B1MQh.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/caSZFbyh.jpg) It would run better with a 389. Also if those are the original rear fender braces save them. They were a specific length for the BB model. And the oil tank with the flip up cap is one year only for that model. I have a spare fuel tank for that year too if you're interested. Bill B...

Alan, Boomer or Jason? I believe it is Jason's bike you are replying about.

Hi, new to the forum and thought I’d post a pic of my 1960 BSA Super Rocket. I originally bought this bike in 1972 as boxes of parts. Over the years it’s been through several iterations including chopper, cafe racer, and currently as a “bobber”. Everything in the drive train has been completely rebuilt, the oil tank is made from a shortened fire extinguisher and my buddy hand made both the springer and hardtail…

Sometimes things just happen. Got a call about a bunch of BSA parts ![[Linked Image from images.i.thechive.com]](https://images.i.thechive.com/__2c4cfa6c3fb6068c55028d5fea93666a_width-600.jpeg) Most of a 1968 B44 Victor Scrambler was amongst the pile. I have an engine and some other bits. I may just have enough to make this a roller ![[Linked Image from images.i.thechive.com]](https://images.i.thechive.com/__40922037e1b7df1e27816fc8642a3461_width-600.jpeg)

Here’s a picture of my US-spec BSA, a 1955 A10 Super Flash. It was consigned to the East Coast importers BSA Inc in November 1955 and supplied new to one Frances Parsons of Underwood Avenue, Mt Tom, Massachusetts by Wolfe’s Indian Cycle Sales of Springfield Mass. in March 1956. I have a copy of the original Bill of Sale, detailing the extra-market saddlebags and safety guards. The panniers are amazing, they’re made of saddle-leather and fitted to chrome mounting-plates, just like the old Indians and Harleys. I have re-fitted the crash-bars (safety-guards) since the picture was taken, the bike appears very original and low-mileage. Apparently it was supplied as new in black, but Frances had it repainted in Nutley Blue when this colour became available a few years later – she must have found black too boring! If any US-based members know of any history I’d love to hear it.
