Here's how Buster looks these days. Although there are always small changes. Runs great now, handles like a dream, stops even better.

- Maybe britbike should start a gallery with members bikes? -

Britbike has a gallery with members bikes.
In the header of this page there are six menu 'buttons'.
Click on the fourth [or visitors]
In the menu find [bike photo's].

I know some people have sent photo's to Brit Bike (I did) but for some reason this item is not done any more.
Maybe Morgan should reconsider. wink

The Lightning cafe was lonely, so I had to add the Thunderbolt...these bikes are addictive, aren't they.

Jesus, I can't believe I actually posted a photo. Only took about 5 years! This is one of my favorite bikes, 1966. Put it up on my bench yesterday- I'm going to change front sprocket from 18 to 20 tooth.

Hey Redman,
Could you give us some details on the front end. I would love to see a video clip of you doing a stoppie on your Lightning.

Forks/trees/brakes from '98 H'da CBR600F3
Wheel from '70's H'da CB750
Everything had to be adapted to everything else...alot of little bits made.
Headlight ears cut from BSA mounts, welded to tubes, chromed.
Two fingers gets me all the stopping in a hurry I could ever want.
I'll see about that stoppie.....

When people who should have known better cautioned me about the dangers of motorcycle racing, I always told them that a fear of death is nothing more than a fear of life in disguise.

My 1965 Lightning Rocket. I've only owned it about 4 months but it is a lot of fun!

Great stuff! Alex, maybe just me, but I can't see that 53, and I really want to. Guess since there are more bastardized bikes here than not, I can post these. (though to be fair, they were both waaaaayyy too far gone for any kind of resto. In the foreground is the 65 LR my buddy and I are working on. Close to completion w/ a mostly 68 t-bolt motor.

And the black 70. With cold weather here and snow on the ground, she's going through some major changes as we speak....
Oh, anyone have a set of hornet pipes they can part with? Dont' haveta be perfect, drop me a line if you do

Here is my Canadian model 1970 Firebird.
A work in progress (still). White headlight ears, chrome tank no badges, low pipes.
Too cold for wrenching here. Thinking about a woodstove and insulation for the garage. Every year, the winter seems to get a bit longer.

I've owned her(or maybe the other way around) for over 33 years, a gazillion miles and still a work in progress.
