I took my front wheel to Trenton Brake to get the hub cut round again. I had had a pulse that I decided to get fixed now that its turned cold. While it was on the lathe I noticed that it had a wobble , so I figure I'm gonna try and true it myself. The manual is VERY light on this subject, says I should hire it out, but I'm gonna try first. Sugeestions, hints, forebodings , all are welcome.Ken. I did get a correct spoke wrench., and I figure I have to loosen first, then tighten.

It's like truing a bicycle wheel, except on a bigger spoked, more robust wheel. The trick is the fine line between tightening spokes on one side and loosening them on the other. I think it's a fairly self explanatory operation that is made much easier by a truing stand...you have one right?

Wheel lacing and trueing has been covered pretty well here before. If you search the past posts, you should find plenty of good informsation. Even more is available using Google, very detailed tutorials.

spokes

Ken here's a link to a thread I started about spokes. Maybe this gives you some help.
