I have to admit I did like the symmetry of the logo with www and .com........BUT

I'm liking the BritBike all by it's self. We did this before to promote the site......I have a feeling this time around folks are going to know what BritBike is and these are more of a thank you than a promotion.

I'd like to hear more opinions before I order........Gordon

Top logo is the newer version...........what say you?????? Do it need the .com added?

Okay I know this is a lot of wasted space on Anna's thread but this is about her even if it's in a round about way......so bear with me. We'll get this one sorted and then work on her pin. All the while we're waiting on a report when David meets with the Motts........did we make his goal???????

Gordon

i'm ok with whatever you chose. The newer version is cleaned up and raised 25% vertically.
If you use the newer version use the .ai format I sent cause the gif format tends to become pixly.

Cheers

I've been waiting for David to report in and I think he'll do that today since I think he met with the Motts last night?

But......I would like to go ahead and order these today.

[Linked Image]

The BritBike pin is Morgan's new logo. I'm using the older Logo on the Mott's pin.

I would like to hear some feedback on the pins before I order. I'm getting 200 of the BB pins and 100 of the Motts.......50 of the BB pins will go to Morgan....the rest are giveaways, just ask. "Friend of the Motts" pins are giveaways too.....and I'll work it out with David on how I get them to Donors.

Old or new logo.....what say you all?

Gordon they look very good, new or old logo both works the only thing is that one must use the illustrator format .ai not the .gif
as .gif will be pixly but I believe you have control on that.
Good work broder!!!

Morgan, I've asked that they do one more option and do the "Anna" pin with the new Logo........I'll post it as soon as I get it.

I'm liking the pins so far.......already purchased a bunch of bubble envelopes so I can start sending them out as soon as I get them. Once they are ordered I'll start taking requests. John already spoke up and I'll send him as many as he wants.......still no charge, he's one of the good guys.

I'm hoping I get some feedback from the UK........you know who you are and you know I'm listening.

To put my own twist to one of Mike Carter's friends sayings......"Once the Motts are in your life, they're there to stay"

It's been over 5 years since this all started but it seems like it was just yesterday David asked us to post Purple Photos.

Last Tuesday night, I had the privilege to present our gift to the Mott family.

As she often does, Melissa says it better than anyone-

It has been over five years. And there is a group of you who continue to walk this road beside us, holding our hands and helping us up. And I just want you to know that it means literally everything. Everything.

GREAT JOB DAVID!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!

Okay folks........here is the "Anna" pin with Morgan's new logo......I'm going to go ahead and use his new logo for both pins.

[Linked Image]

It's going to take 30 days or so for me to get them back but I'll start taking requests. Just email me at dad1150@aol.com and give me your address. I'm going to make the limit at 5 pins each for the BritBike pins and 2 for the Anna pins. If I send you 5 BritBike pins I'm hoping you'll give a couple away.

The only other thing I ask is....... we keep it on this thread for now.

I'm going to work with David to get pins to past Donors. I'll let him send them out to those of you that want to keep your ID under wraps......no worries there. If that's the way you want it we'll be sure to keep it between just you and David. For the rest of you.......you didn't have to donate anything to get the BB pins....just ask....no worries there either. After the first go-around, and if I have any left, I'll offer them to the rest of the board members....but for now I'm just doing this for the folks that keep up with this thread.

That's it..........thanks to all of you that helped.....we'll be back for her birthday. Until then I won't be bothering you anymore.

Take care.......your friend in NC Gordon Gray who's proud to be a "Friend of the Motts"

PS.....the BritBike pin looks like the Anna pin without the ribbon and the Friend of the Motts. Both pins have the brooch (sp?) attachment.

Yes broder, I agree. I thought your new logo would be too big for the Anna pin but it looks good IMO. Make sure you send me your current mailing address and when they come in I'll make sure you get yours. I really like the BritBike pin.........as a members only gift I can't see why it needs the www or the .com. Makes those older pins even more rare.....hahahahahahahahhahahaah.

Going to take about 30 days for the turn a round.......once I have them I'll post real time photos of the results and start mailing them out. First come, first served....get em while you can.

Thank you for letting us do this.........din BSA broder in NC, USA Gordon

Let me clear up a misunderstanding......sorry for the confusion

There will be two (2) types of pins made.

1. A "BritBike" pin
2. A BritBike "Friend of the Motts" pin

The "Friend of the Motts" will be sent free of any charges to ALL the donors past and present......so if you have ever donated ANYTHING you get a pin. That means even if you donated something for the yard sale we had a few years back......you get a pin. So that flame thrower Steve put up for the yard sale counts. It doesn't matter if you gave a $1 or a $100.......it all counts the same. I'm going to limit those to 2 per. BUT if you're like Bryan and Marie......who are a team.....that's 4 to that address if they want that many. IF I run out and I hope I do......I'll have more made and if you donate from now on and want a pin....it's yours shipped free of charge.

The " BritBike" pin is for ANYBODY.......no donation required at all. Don't be shy.....just send me your address and I'll send you some up to 5 per address. WHY am I doing this? Because I want to give you something for at least following this thread. Maybe if you haven't given in the past you'll give something next time....but you don't have to. Once I feel like everybody following this thread has had time to ask for a pin/s if they want some......I'll offer up what's left over to the rest of the board.....same deal, no charge.

It's better to give than receive........if you know me, you know that's the way I roll.

IF you've ever donated ANYTHING and want a "Friend of the Motts" pin (BritBike pin/s will tag along too) PLEASE let me or David know and we'll be sure you get one.

Sorry to have taken up all this space on this thread.......but once you get me started it hard to get me stopped.

Gordon in NC

I'm working on a list of those folks I need to get an "Anna" pin to. All you had to do is contribute to this thread.....photo, reply, donation, anything that helped.....and believe me, it ALL helped. I'm still working on getting the names off the tank Robert did and was signed by bb.com members so this list is still a work in progress. Pins were ordered Friday and I should have them in by the end of the month. If you're one of the "Anonymous" donors and don't want me to have your name and address.....and you want a pin just let David know and we'll get it to you. This list is in no particular order. I went through all 33 pages of the thread several times to get what names I have.......it was a nice journey back through time.

[Linked Image]

[Linked Image]

Let me know if I left you off and if you want a pin just drop me a PM or contact me at dad1150@aol.com. Pins will be sent to you at no charge......limit at 5 BritBike pins and 2 "Anna" pins per address.

For those of you that are planning to attend this year's (2018) TSMR I can get your pins to you there and save me the packaging and postage.

Thanks again for your help with this.........Gordon in NC

My Anna pin will be right next to my Katie ribbon.
Both young ladies I have become attached to from a distance

Katie was a "poster child" for a charity for medically fragile children care and their adoption.
I met her at about age 5, before any surgeries.
Katie had an issue with her gut, and had to have 5 organs transplanted.
Twice...in short order.

When she was 13, I was blessed with giving her her first lesson riding a small dirt bike on a grass track, at an offroad benefit ride for the charity.

[Linked Image]

At the age of 16, it became apparent that she would need another 5 transplants, as the 2nd set were failing.
Imagine, at the age of 16, making the choice of no more surgeries.

Rest in peace Katie.

They are here.......these photo's don't do them justice but it's the best I could do for now. Those of you that have already contacted me your's will be in the mail Monday. Those of you that will be at this years TSMR I will be sure you get yours there.

[Linked Image]

[Linked Image]

This is an older design of David's.....we decided to have some of them made up for folks not connected to bb.com that have helped over the years and many of them continue to still help every donation drive. BB'comers that want one of these can get one too. Those of you that are getting mail this week I'll throw one in just in case.

[Linked Image]

Let me know if you want some.....shipped free of charge.....contact info posted earlier on this thread.

Gordon

PS.....Morgan shoot me your snail mail addy so I can get yours in the mail please.
