My son Kevin was promoted to Captain early this month, this is his brand new "Mike" model Army Blackhawk MedEvac chopper. We are as proud as we can be that he has toughed it out thru two tours to Iraq as an enlisted man, transferred to the Reserves to go back to university and acquire his degree, then received a full commission as an officer, was accepted into flight school AND medical corps, and has now achieved line officer / pilot status in just 12 years. His commanding officer was quite proud of him as well.
Although this forum section does not require Britbike content, Kevin selected my '75 T160 Trident from my collection a few years back when he and his older brother got their choice of any three bikes they wanted. So, besides his Carl Fogarty replica Ducati 1200 Monster, he now owns a Trident. Heck, he's cooler than me, he also owns a Corvette Stingray, and a beautiful ski boat.

Paul missed this but was just now looking thru things "recently" posted... Great photo, and I agree- you have good reason to be proud. Congrats to him for being a go-getter, and to you for raising a fine young lad.

Good for Kevin; what he's done is not easy to do, and not many have accomplished it. He's making a difference and very many of us appreciate it!
Our Willie Whyte is an Army chopper pilot/instructor too .... I just don't think I'd have the coordination for two pedals, two levers and a twist grip, all working at the same time! Glad someone can do it!
Lannis (P.S. - I hope it's "Family Day" on post and those aren't two of the New Army soldiers in the background ....!)
