hi 69m750 You really must get to try a 650ss,its a bit vibratory but is so eager to go,nothing like the atlas.Compared to a standard 99 its a racehorse against a carthorse. The real problem is finding a good one,too many old clunkers about.I have only ever been on one commando didn't like the handling. My 99 is pictured (40yr old foto) on this site.

Hi guys, thanks for all the feedback and suggestions. Gary, it'll be great to see some pics of your bike.. How long have you been working on it? And what sort of shape was it in to begin with? Any major hiccups we should look out for ? smile Looking forward to seeing it...

Hi Mercury ,my dommy is 1960,18d2 etc,no problem with starting 12v system,2mc cap allows starting and running with no battery.Zener voltage control.I may fit Pazon points assist unit later.Read my post " one finger clutch" Check Lever pivot/Nipple centres must not exceed 7/8" .1" is no use at all.Its difficult to find correct levers . Luckily i have the Bracebridge fitted set,Trying to improve my front brake i looked into pivot centres and was surprised to find clutch 7/8" but brake 1" (Orriginal stuff!!)now looking for 7/8" brake lever.Look forward to fotos.
