have 56 woodsman 75%done, but need info on a couple items, 1. need access to weird double brake cables for weird front brake setup.
Have mech on handlebar to use both sides of the brake , but need cables. 2.need cable for compression release. I believe I have the original release, collapses when pulled like a two stroke. Compression end of cable fits through release located by set screw. Anyone have experience on these items. Like to deal in the country if possible. thanks Al

Hitchcocks in the UK are the likely source of these.
You'll be lucky to find anyone else who stocks this stuff - or knows what you are talking about ?

This for a 57 Bullet, but it will be the same (?).

6 is the decompression cable, and 17 are the cables for the twin brakes.
hopethishelps.

If you can find a supplier who has these parts, that would be great
if you can't, this is how I did it
I made my own with parts from Walridge
they have most of the cable parts you will need
I used #3 cable
I made my own 'solderless nipple' at the lever
at the bottom I used the same but doubled up on the set screws
I would have rather used soldered nipples, and this set up may look a little cobbled
but it works for me and stops when I want.

I see that Hitchcock's sells the complete dual-pull brake lever:

http://www.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/partsbooks/pages/1187/Handlebar_&_Controls

It is item #20 in the above link.

BTW, it is important to have the cables adjusted so that the "tilting abutment" for the outer cables is perpendicular to the cables. That allows for proper compensation when the lever is pulled.

The brake cables appear as item #17 in the following link:

http://www.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/partsbooks/pages/1188/Handlebar_Control_Cables

Hope this is of help,

I should have most of those in stock. I know I have the decomp cable, the dual brake lever, and at least ONE of the brake cables (should have a couple though). Baxter Cycle, 712-781-2351 if you haven't ordered them yet.
Thanks!
