So another year of auto jumble wandering comes to a close, I have taken some pics for your perusal, I love walking around jumbles, looking for odd or rare parts, dreaming of another project every time I see a a rusty barn find calling my name.

Good pics as usual, thanks for posting Kev, lots of interesting stuff, never seen a KTT Velocette in the flesh, must be $$$. That Motobi is nice too, I was offered one lately, I use to count till ten before I decide to buy, as result I was too late. These Kreidler Floretts were immensely popular over here in the 1960's, must have had something to do with the racing successes of the Dutch Van Veen Kreidler team. When looking at these bikes today I wonder why everybody wanted one, however, these little bikes still have a lot of following over here today.

...hello Kev, great set this time. If I go there I need to have plenty of money due to many great stuff.
The BSA number 25 is a killer one!

If I may I want to ask you about how many Dollars can a Triumph engine like in the second photo that they sell? Also the heads.
What about the prices for a Lucas switch like the PLC6 or like that, working.

Thanks

A good overall view of the kind of thing that's available there; most of those Honda models are UK/Europe only, we didn't see them here in that form.

Nice old Motobi - wonder whether you'd ever be able to get parts for that?

Lannis

I stopped believing for a little while this morning. Journey is really going to be upset.

Lannis, perhaps a bit off topic, but my Benelli is identical to that Motobi , and spares are still out there, although the situation is rather patchy. There are a few specialists, mostly in Germany, however, they don't have everything in stock.
I had to use fleabay, and some Italian market websites to get all the parts that I needed, some stuff was sourced in the UK, and some carburator parts came from the States.
My wife and I flew to Catania in Sicily for an original seat (that's probably why my wife loves Italian bikes more than British stuff)
In the end the Benelli was restored in perfect condition, although it took time and patience. We are indeed spoiled for choice when it comes to British bike parts.
Sorry for moving Kev's thread off topic.

Everyone thinks we are lucky here with so many parts for sale, but I shall let you into a secret, every part you see in the second photo has come from the USA, even that Triumph chopper project has come in from Michigan, the American guys are not interested in buying parts or projects, so a few Brits go to the big US swap meets and buy everything, then they fill a shipping container, and we get it all here, but to answer your question, that guy had a complete unit triumph motor for sale in nice condition for £1300.

Thanks, I had known that Benelli and Motobi were related companies (same family), but wasn't sure how identical the bikes were.

Glad to know you were able to get yours together so well!

And if this post isn't "on topic", nothing is! If "Nice pics, thanks for posting" is all that's "allowed" by the Thread Topic Drift Police, it would be a boring world ....

Neutral selector. Use the lever to automatically find and select neutral.

yes it is a neutral finder. Tread on it with your heel and it pushes the cogs to neutral from 4th, 3rd, 2nd but not 1st

I used a Series 2 as my regular rider for quite a few years and set up the neutral finder to go to first instead of neutral. Worked well as I had a half dozen stop signs to navigate to and from work. The neutral finder is a feature that is easy to set up, seldom needs adjusting, and makes that tractor like gearbox easy to use.
Probably not gonna be available on the new 650 Interceptor I 'spose!
