Personally I don't like the seat --bit it looks a good honest bike.

I wonder why the flat black panel, behind the engine, between the tank and seat.Hiding something? Nonetheless,a worthwhile venture.
Thanks for posting,Al.

Seeing as how this is most likely a Series 1, I'd venture to guess that the flat black panel was a quick fix to hide the fact that there isn't any toolbox !!
It would be interesting to know if the numbers are still correct or if this is a "bitsa".

he's put on mikunis. i don't know what the original filters were for this machine, but often a mikuni alteration means that the old side panels don't fit. certainly this is the case for much later triumph/bsa OIF twins.

but he's not running filters at all, so i dunno. what did the original sidepanels look like?

"Are bikes so nice as all that?" asked the mole, shyly...

"Nice? They're the only thing," said the Water Rat Solemnly, as he leaned forward on the handlebars. "Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing -- absolutely nothing -- half so much worth doing as simply messing about with bikes."

Oily,good point.
This Mk1 is at The Barber Museum.
Third picture down, A Mk1 The factory did not offer an air cleaner until 1969,as an option. With the Monoblocs space is at a premium. One owner came up with this idea on a single carb model.

Very Personalized 1966 Royal Enfield Interceptor Twin. Starts and runs good. This bike was somebodys on going project and has many modifications. Speedometer mileage is non actual according to the title. The true mileage is unknown. It usually starts on the third kick, has 12v lighting and a gel battery. It does not smoke and leaks almost no oil. Has dual Mikuni carburetors. Stop by or call KC Cycle 1067 National Rd SE Hebron, OH 43025 ph7409281000. Asking $3999. Motorcycle, ATV, UTV or tractor trades will be considered

Back like an annoying relative or a bad cold LOL
If I remember correctly, I believe this one has a transmission out of a Series 2; so it has non matching numbers besides the customizing faux pas.

I have been to this place. Has a lot of Ducatis and brit stuff. Has a road going trident race replica with a wenco frame. A so -so rickman trident. I believe he is married to dick clamfaths (spelling) daughter. A lot to look at there.
