Running and riding BSA B44 Victor. Mostly all original. Whats missing- left side cover and a couple primary screws. Rear taillight does not work. Tires look to be very old and cracking. A couple dents in the gas tank (see photos) This bike requires standard tinkering in order to be a daily rider, but is very close. Bike has a new 3 position ignition switch. A couple dents in the gas tank (see photos) This bike is a good candidate for a restoration or just get it tuned and ride as is. 6000 original miles. Clean Title.

I have a video of it running and riding I can send upon request. Please let me know if you would like additional pictures as well.

Message me for details or questions.

Buyer arranges shipping.

NO RESERVE!!!!

$2200, no bids, 19 hours to go.

That's a pretty good deal if it stays near there. Something seems off about the exhaust. It's swept up a bit too much.

"Something seems off" about quite a bit more? Ad. draws attention to the tail-light ... which isn't on a '70 mounting. So a prospective buyer looks a bit harder ... "What's missing" ... uh, how about an entire '70 front end? And I know next-to-nothing about Beesa singles.

Sure someone who wants one of these could fix any of the "off" bits that bothered him/her. But I get the impression that many of those that want them have already got one or two, and those that don't can find a "1970" (or whatever) with most/more of the correct bits attached?

Regards, smile

It seems like it's a Shooting Star with a Victor tank and exhaust & Silencer (and/or engine too)

Classic example of a too-high starting bid. Non-stock bike, will never be a collector but could be a good rider. Might go for $2500 in this overheated market for the unit singles ... but you can't start an auction at the price you "Hope" to get; no one will bite.

Start it at $99 and let people chase a bargain and I'll bet it will go over $2200, momentum will take it there ....

I stopped believing for a little while this morning. Journey is really going to be upset.

I agree, his starting bid was to high
but he should have also had a foto of the title
these days that is worth around $200 (and more for a high dollar bike)
and spent a few minutes cleaning up the thing
I would have listed it with an $800 starting bid
just the motor and tank are worth about that
I think it may have gone as high as $2,000
Cheers

Started life as a 1970 B44 Shooting Star, note the low filler cap on the oil tank a 70 only feature, also looks like the factory finally got round to brazing the centre stand stops in the right position as every other one I have seen, including my own, goes too far forward and then makes it really hard to get off the stand. Some time in the past it had a Victor make over and ended up with an alloy tank and a 66 front end with the B31 style 7" single sided brake. No idea what's going on with the exhaust, a mix of different years pipe and silencer plus having no hard welded mounting point (not needed on Shooting Star with low level exhaust) must be the cause.

Hi Guys--sorry to interrupt this thread but I have forgotten how to start a new thread.
Would be grateful for your advice.
Obviously getting old--or at least older!

Go to the "Forums" home page, click on "Forums", when the list of forums shows up, click on the one you want (like "Rod and Tappet" for example), then look for the "New Thread" button on the left part of the forum header .....
