Anyone have a suggestion on acceptable clearances on the layshaft and sleeve gear bush in an A10 gear box? I know mine are well worn but I need to know what to shoot for when fitting the new ones. Also curious about how deep the hardening on the shafts might be. On the main shaft there is about .001/.0015 inches of difference between the contact surface and the space on the shaft between the bushings. Does not look scored or out of round, but the contact areas have a very polished look. The same goes for the drive side of the layshaft as well. Wondering if it might be advisable to have them ground true and size the bushings to suit?
