Last time, as you'll recall, the Thunderarse was a right bugger to fire up. Kick kick kickety kick, I did go. Do y'all remember..? It was that there Steam Rally I took the Lovely Janette too for her birthday treat, August t'was, 90f and there's me kicking the bloody thing into life, nearly having one of them Connery's I've heard off... mad

So over the course of time, and once I HAD time, I got them points off, two of them they be, and run em over an oil stone. Came up a treat so they did, nice and flat and shiny, bunged em back on EXACTLY as they came off. All the washers and such like, all in the same place they were, then....Kick kick kickety kick, bugger just wouldn't fire up. So after a while, and a scratch of the old noggin, I found that one of the tiny Fibre washers was split, causing one set of points to Earth out. New Fibre washer in place, and job's a good un...

So as today was the un-organised meeting at the village of Offham, I thought it a perfick chance to see what the bike was like, dragged it out of the fettling shed, and second kick she fired up, and was a first kick starter after that... bigt

Its amazing what a little be of maintenance can do... wink

So off to the Cafe at Aylesford to meet the lads, as it's just down the road I got there first...

After a chat and things they all showed up...

I didn't bother doing the little ride they were doing, so I hooked up with a couple of others, and went straight to the venue, but before I left I got a shot of Hus's new Olde bike...

[Linked Image]

Then fired up the Thunderarse, and in a jiffy we were there, so into Mooching mode I did go...
