I took my 4ca out and bought a 6ca points plate for my 1967 Tr6c ET ignition. I notice the 6ca is thicker which I assumed because I’ve seen deeper points cover for sale. But I also notice about a third of the points follower is off the aau cam. I can’t change that since I’m using the 4ca 5o ET aau. Is this ok ? I was told I could use the 6ca on the forum

Sounds like something’s not right. You might see a small change in height because of the two points sub-plates... but there should be enough length to the points cam to accommodate.

Here’s a pic of my 6CA with ET AAU in my T100SC (same parts for all the critical stuff).

Mines deffinetly pass the cam. If I can figure how to post a picture later I will.
I don’t see how mine should be different since I have the same equipment.
I see were your back set of points hang over a little , both of mine do that but a little more.
Maybe my points follower is a little wider.

It would be worth looking into the reason the 4CA points and AAU were updated and replace your AAU to match.
