Last year, the few of us from this part of the world (east central/southern OH/western PA) who participate on bb.com got together to end Bill's hunger (No Name Man). We only had 4 people show up, but it was a good time.

So, sounds to me as though Bill is hungry again, so it is time to try to do this eat & ride again. Especially before the snow flies.

Last year's venue was ok, but there is another place nearby that is getting rave reviews - Poppy's Grill & Chill in Byesville, OH. It is right on Rt. 209 south of Cambridge.

So, kevin, Bill, Gene, or anyone else that is local and interested, what weekend is good. I figure we only have a few left. This one is out, but let me know if your interested and which Saturday and let's end Bill's hunger again!

BTW, I am certain Bill is the ONLY person that is happy photobucket jumped the shark! A lot of evidence went away!

Yes you could have a worse reputation. Fortunately, the one you have has been a source of amusement for a lot of people when we could still post pictures........

Either Saturday can work for me. See what the others that are interested have to say.

Anyone else want to join us?

One of those things that would be worth the trip for sure ... !

But we're going to be on our annual family outing that week and won't be able to make it ...

Eat hearty!

Damn. Not only is Bill hungry, from the number of drinks around him, looks like he's thirsty too!

It's a long-standing tradition now, when we all sit down at the breakfast table, for everyone to slide their breakfast plate over next to Bill and take a "group" picture of all the plates together with Bill behind them.

Mind you, sometimes there's ALREADY two or three plates there, so you need a really wide-angle lens to get them all .... !!

ah, the curse of the rotating schedule.

i don't get a scheduled weekend off until the middle of december, it seems. i suggest you pick any day, and if a well pad goes down i'll be off, but i won't have any better notice than a day, i think.

Do y'all have the day, time and place for this fine endeavor set now ?
A morning ride out old route 40 W. sounds nice.

if everything is running i show up at either six am or six pm, and then drive for the next twelve hours. but if they lose the guns in the hole, then they'll be three days grinding them out. or if the blender catches fire. or if there's some other crisis. so it's always possible that i'll be off that day, but won't know until the night before.

if there's some temporary issue, then they can be down for a few hours and then back up. like this last labor day, when they bought everybody ribs for lunch and some moron threw his rib bones into the sand hopper, i kid you not. they got sucked up the augers and into the tub, and then right into the super-expensive electronic valves. at $1500 an hour for each hour the operation is shut down, he pissed a bunch of people off.

he has a job somewhere else now.

Hey Tim...tentatively planned for Saturday the 21st. Late lunch around 2:00 is what we did last year. I think. Weather looks good. Time is flexible. I am a mere flunky in this informal shindig...and hope to see you there.

The 21st sounds good, but let's plan for 1:00 PM since I am going to have a busy weekend and have to leave EARLY Monday morning.

I'm gonna try but I've got to coordinate a bunch of guys for cutting and hauling wood that day for folks in need. Bill did give me a text but said the time was at 2? I will have to either get a new helmet or at least a full face shield before I can go as it might get brisk on the way back. I've been looking forward to this for a while as I've only been out a couple times this year, the first since the accident which was 2 years ago Sunday .Plus I like ridin with Bill!

The obligatory Gold Star picture. Yes I rode it to lunch. A 100 mile ride on a fun bike. Except for losing another primary oil fill cap mad , bike was flawless all day.

We need to try to do this in the spring too.....lll

Bill had to order extra fries and I wolfed down my burger before he had a chance to eyeball it. It was a great ride as Bill picked some fine roads to ride and the barkeep/owner was very nice. They had the most unique men's room i'd ever seen. They must've had problems with folks hittin the urnal as they tiled them in with such a slope that if you missed you'd get you shoes!

My thanks to Bill for keepin an eye on me. The new face shield I'd bought the day before came off and darn near drug off my glasses outside of Somerset.

Good food and good stories I'm up for it again.Loved seein Rich's Goldstar! Made me envious the whole day course Bill's B50 looked and sounded great. I'm in for the next one! Gene

Would have liked to see you there JD...we can't find many in this neck of the woods able to meet. Gene, that T140 is runnin good too. Even if you can't hear it while the B50 is on.
237 miles for me...the last 50 or 60 in the dark! Nothing fell off except for some oil.

Hey Bill what was wrong with your lights? Maybe you shouldn't have flipped that switch in my driveway. When I looked into my light shell I noticed the PO had done some changes to the wiring, maybe that's why my pilot light doesn't work. After I get my Victor off my stand maybe I"ll put the T140 on and check it out. I need to install new fork seals anyway.

Lights actually worked fine. Had to reach up and re-aim a little bit. Never rode it after dark before. The pilot light switch (some PO job) broke so I wired it hot until I find an appropriate switch. Have a dual throw dipole switch there now just filling the hole. It's going to go on the Victor eventually.

Hey guys I was on my way to Youngstown to pick up a Dana 60 front for my 78 F250 and my buddy got hungry right as we hit the rt 209 exit on 70. I told him about that bar n grill so we stopped in. That same bartender was workin and said he'd come up with a new sandwich. It's a steak sandwich with American cheese, fried banana peppers, fried jalepeno peppers and Swiss cheese. We both ordered one except I had him swap the American cheese for pepper jack. Boy was it great! We also had the deep fried mushrooms with beer batter that were also great but had to eat them fast as after eatin the sandwich they got a bit soggy. And the Deep fried banana peppers also in beer batter, they coulda been better as they tasted bitter from the pickling. But that steak sandwich was not to be ignored! He wanted to stop again on the way back but I thought my wife would be a bit upset for her not getting one so we came on home. You guys gotts try it! Plus he remembered us and our bikes.
