I am in search of information about a 1958 BSA 650 A65 that was in my family when I was a kid in Concord, NC. Brief history, my father owned it as a street bike, got hit by a car (he survived), my uncle took it and made it a race bike (flat track/scrambles) then he fell and broke his leg on it. My father seems to remember that long time BSA guy Ted Hubbard sold it to someone in Charlotte, NC. This would have been in about 1963 or 64.
If this sounds familiar to anyone or knows anything about the bike, please contact me at email@example.com. I would be interested in purchasing the bike (or what is left of it) if it is still around. It may be buried in the ground by now.
There is an old time bike shop in Chesnee S.C. the owner Dennis Harris is an old time flat-tracker and his shop is full of memorabilia and old race bikes. Chesnee is not far from Concord. I found the shop in July 2016. I was in Concord for the AMA 1/2 mile race there on Sat. night. Saw an ad for Chesnee's Street Fair and Antique Bikes on Main St. On the way to home so I went to see, and it was big. Dennis has a very neat shop and he might have some info for you.
