Hi Morgan,

Apologies in advance if you are aware of this problem and are working on a solution.

If you were not aware of the problem ... as people add images to a thread, it becomes more and more difficult to read.

The particular thread I am having problems with at present is 1968 Triumph T100R Daytona 500 - Super Project. Great project thread to which Jon has added many images, bigt I have followed it from the start.

But the number of images now make the thread impossible to read, because their loading bounces the site page up and down like a demented gymnast on speed. I cannot quickly read, say, the last post, because the thread is impossible to read while all the images - absolutely necessary in especially a project thread - load. frown

I appreciate that my broadband speed might contribute to the problem. But I do not have particularly slow broadband - I can use any other part of BritBike without problems even when my son is gaming online with friends and both swmbo and my daughter are on ... social media crazy ... I know there are others on slower connections.

If you are aware of the problem, any fix likely in the near future?

Regards,

Stuart, I can't do anything right now but maybe its time to look into how many photos you could ad to one post but now is a bad time i need to do it in the future.

Maybe this could help your case.

Look above the thread, do you see a menu called Thread Options
click on it and chose Switch to Flat Mode

from there you can pick one reply to read ea time.

Hope thay makes it easier to read. You can also set this for all threads in My Stuff

Cheers

BSAing you

Hi Morgan,

Thank you for a quick reply. smile

I am already reading in "Flat Mode".

However, I saw something else that might be at least a temporary solution; I just need Jon to add another post with some more pictures to the thread, I will test my theory and let you know ...

Open the thread in a tab and then move to another tab and browse something less image heavy for 5 to 10 mins and then go back and it should all the there.

I had it bad on a a particular Samsung tablet and by rooting the tablet moving to a cutdown ROM without all the Samsung bloatware has sped up page loading times a lot.
