Pretty good new computer (for 2010), and new digital camera... I will do the install and try yet again to figure out how to put up photos here.
Since we last visited, all three mudguards done and in primer, front stays designed and made, motor in, brakes refurbished and it's up on three wheels. Another small order of fasteners on the way from Klempf's, this week upgrading the anschluss-ersatzteile, number plate refinished black, looks pretty good.
Seem to have lost my chainguard... many curses and searches of attic.
Cables next, and checking more things off the long list.
Hope I can post pictures!

Still frustrated by photo issues, but! All three mudguards in primer and mounted, exhaust system repaired, cleaned, painted and mounted, oil tank mounted, and best of all, sidecar aligned and tightened down with new fasteners all around. I made new upper mounts that look much more "factory" and I am very happy with them. Of course once on the road all the mounts will need adjustment to achieve proper alignment, and that will mean frame paint touch-up...

Hand and foot controls are all on and adjusted, but I am wishing for NOS 1964 hand levers, as mine are worn. Cables yet to be made. Fuel tank in process of cleaning. I never noticed before the chips and tattiness of the fuel tank, but now that the rest of the bike is refinished, it looks pretty rough. It is so expensive to paint a tank... Hmmm, I wonder if there is a place to which I can send it to have dents removed and shiney black paint applied, by mail? I will consider that this winter.

Ordering new BSF fasteners from Klempf's, to replace the "dry build" ones on the mudguards. And ordering an Eber-luchte replica, for the sidecar mudguard, $80US from the old country, original ones are too rich for my blood.

Today I am making a new coil mount bracket- the coils are under the seat for easier access. Since the battery is in the sidecar trunk, there is room under the seat for electrics on a nice tray, and for an oil filter behind the side cover.

Funny how a digital camera and its secrets can be so much more difficult to grasp than a half-century-old sidecar combination. But I'm old, that explains it.

The Move... by Feb 15 will be at my new home and shop in St Louis- it's hell to move an unfinished bike, and my workshop. Hope to be back on the beam by March 10... sorry for the work stoppage.
