1948 Triumph 3T details
Hello
Does anyone have decal and pinstripe infor for a 1948 Triumph 3T. The only decals I am aware of is (2) on the oil tank. One for minimum oil level and one on the front of the tank, not sure what is printed on it. Is there documentation for the correct decals and placement?
As for pinstripes, it appears that the center of the rims are to be painted black with white stripes on each side.
Fenders are either a single pinstripe (middle) or (2) stripes (one on each side of the fender center hump.Gas tank pinstripe border Is either single or a double pinstripe.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

David, you are over your private e-mail limit. Clean it up and i will contact you.
Another Triumph guy near me is restoring another '48 3T and we have done some research about it.

All pin-striping and decals on 3T Triumphs was, indeed WHITE. Also, I have information on how the lettering of the decals REALLY looked, and where they are placed.

is yours an early, or late '48? There were some mid-year changes.
I know there were two different cylinder heads and how they were mounted, and the rear fender also changed.

Remember: The 3T was the "cheap, bottom-level go-to-work commuter bike" of the Triumph line, few were sold in the USA.
That's why they are rare over here, and so is information about them.

Hello
I just reduce my message length. I believe that my 3T is late 1948. The head design appears to be different from 46, or 47. Thanks for the response.

While you are at it, clean up your old private e-mail limit.

I am willing to help you, but can't if you won't help yourself.

Last chance.
