Original perforated Grey cover too. Good to find and hope its got no holes or tears. Rear light casting looks to be A65, does not match the ones I have on my 2 69's which butt up against the frame rail and are machined to accept the rail.

Nice find Dennis... the chronos are an interesting addition... never seen that done to a Victor before. They should help finance the restoration nicely.

Kommando, BSA changed the 69 Victors' components throughout the year as the 68 parts were used up. The earliest 69s had the black seat still, as well as the 68 type taillight and thigh-burner oil tank (both of which this bike has). As the year progressed and parts were used up, these components all changed over to what you would see on a 70.

Dennis -

What's your plans for this one? Grass lane bike? Fix back up to stock? (my favorite). Parts? Trading material?

Always fun starting out, walking around it, visualizing what it could be .... !

Very good find! It looks like it will clean up pretty easily. I want to know what thought went through the persons head as they were putting those bars on, though.

Lannis is right; visualizing the potential is fun. The only downside is when the dollar signs start covering up the vision!

Hi all,
the bike didn't have a title
unfortunate because it's a numbers matching bike
I have been looking for a 441 motor to put in my 68 Starfire
(upgrade it to a Shooting Star)
It's a nice bike that I would like to use for 2 up riding
but the 250 motor is just to slow for that

JD it doesn't run yet, but looks to be in good shape

Steve thanks for the info, the bike is a Jan 69 build
and I would have guessed the tail lamp and fender were original
but as Kommando said this is different than on my other 69 Victor

as for the chronometrics,
they will probably go on eBay
I don't have a use for them and they pre date all of my bikes
(ooops) just realized I have needed the chrono speedo for my Royal Enfield
for almost 40 years! and it seems to work!

Cheers
Dennis B

No title- depending on how difficult Maryland is to get a title for a titleless bike, you may want to get a Vermont title.

got it stripped down to see what's what.
it's nice to find things that haven't had an 'merican' fix
(you know the kind, Popsicle sticks and JB Weld or string and duct tape)
trying to find a stash spot for everything

[Linked Image]

Getting a title is simply a mater of money. for about $150 the title co. will fix you up with paper
and for another $200 the state of MD will give you a piece of paper that sez it's yours
sooooooo, I will cheat them as much as they cheat me

You mean to tell me that JB weld and duct tape aren't sufficient? Shucks.

"2 up riding on a bsa hump back seat is a very up close and personal affair , and you've got to be light and thin , and its got to be a female on the back......
other than that get a b50 seat or at least remove the hump.
