Thanks to all that have responded with suggestions and photos. I wanted to post some pics of the progress this winter. Got some chrome back from the chrome shop. Bent and soldered new oil lines. New oil hose. Waiting for the painter to finish and also waiting for my magneto to be rebuilt

More pics to come in a few weeks hopefully

Thanks again for all the help. Special shout out to Rick for his guidance.

Hello all,

Slowly but surely. I got my tins back. I just got the magneto back it is not installed yet. I have a few more odds and ends. I will be getting a little help from a local british bike mechanic. Here is the progress

I have sent an email to a guy in Australia, who has a lot of NOS pommie bike parts, see how we go.
I got a headlight mounted dip switch for a G80CS from him not long ago.
Fingers crossed.

Hey Ed,
Spoke to my man but he does not have that part. He suggests you find a Velocette supplier as they used a lot of Miller stuff.
A quick search on Evilbay turned up a second hand one.

So..............I decided to try to fix the switch that I have. The plastic button was shot and stuck in the "depressed" position. I have had an old piece of Micarta like material in my workshop that I picked out of a dumpster years ago. I epoxied a small chunk onto a mandrel and chucked it up in my small lathe and came up with a button. I think it will work.
