Is that sign in front of the building, or down the road somewhere?

I think it's a real bar (certainly not a real PUB) somewhere in Massachusetts.

Life's journey is not to arrive safely at the grave in a perfectly preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways totally worn out shouting "Holy [censored], what a ride!"

I wonder if the person that made that sign and the people who posted it, ignorantly used the word Harley meaning motorcycles in general, or were they really trying to exclude all other motorcycles?

One Sunday some church members were having a motorcycle ride after the second service. The pastor said if anyone wanted to ride they should go get their "Harley" and ride with them. I had to say something - I told him not ALL motorcycles are Harleys. Funny thing is there were only one or two Harleys out of 6 or 7 bikes. Pastor has a Harley (I've never seen it), and wears HD shirts almost exclusively. If he wasn't such a good guy I'd consider another church! One day soon I'm going to invite him over to my garage and let him see another side of motorcycles that he is apparently not familiar with.

I did go on one of the churches rides - that was an awful experience! Never again!

...seems that thousand years do not make that company wiser...

Also, if they are so British, how they use a US motorcycle brand?

That's news to me. I don't believe that sign is actually on any of our properties. Never seen it.

Do they know that 1066 was the year we were invaded and subsequently ruled by the French, which makes it a strange choice of year to state that it is a "traditional British" establishment

Anything to lure the Harley Drunks in.

Gotta keep the words, few, short and simple... or they can't read them.

(Sorry! Been there, know (or "KNEW") too many of them.

I don't ride with any of the church groups or, regrettably, the local CMA chapter. I rode with them twice, both times on a BSA. The first time, they were concerned I wasn't going to be able to keep up. (I could have kept up with their pace on a Bantam). The second time, I was the ONLY guy there not in uniform on the correct bike. That is, I had no leather or denim vest, no fringe, no chain-drive wallet, no sh!tkicker boots, no tiny beanie helmet ... I was in my Tourmaster jacket, jeans, Gaerne boots, and a full Nolan helmet. And I was NOT on a V-twin cruiser with forward controls and high bars ... I was on a BSA Firebird Scrambler.

They really don't make you feel welcome, these guys. They're not very good representatives for the church, if this is supposed to be an "outreach" ministry ...

Maybe I ought to do a ride like that instead of complaining about it. "Ride ANYTHING day!" Probably still be all Vtwin cruisers ....

As a 'Non-believer ' I'm intrigued to read that *Church goers* don't welcome one and all, and there was me thinking they'd be the ones that would... shocked

As for the sign, it's working great, look, it's got y'all talking about the place. And ANY sign that does that, is doing it's job.... bigt

So this here Motorsickle prejudice I'm seeing here, has got me a thinking, will I be wasting my time posting our Slovenia Muvafuka tour on here, just down to the fact we'll be riding our V Twin Cruisers there... frown

Best y'all pray for forgiveness... wink

And whilst your doing that, I'm off on me V Twin cruiser, Sh*t kickers shifting gear, beany hat, fingerless gloves, and a whole FIVE bucks of fuel to burn... grin

They ain't perfect, just forgiven. These V-twin motorcycles would pervert a saint, they would ... !

You behave, now, in Slovenia. Don't want the "Billy Brit Abroad" stereotype getting any MORE stories attached to it ... especially on an American motorcycle .... !

Perhaps they have been forgiven for forgetting that acceptance is a pretty basic principle of Christianity?
