Hi
I'm almost finished the renovation of a 61 Venom, just a few odds and ends to do, and fitting the tool box is one of them, Had to buy a pattern one along with the fittings, 2 open P brackets and an L shape bracket.
The 'parts book' illustration only shows 1 open P bracket which I assume attaches to the frame to the left of the box, but I can't see where the other 2 brackets fit, there is no holes in the box to give any clues.
And there is nothing behind to attach to except the edge of the mudguard.

Apart from this I'm going to have to send this one back to Grove Classics because when the knob is fitted it doesn't line up with the threaded hole, so the toolbox won't close! pattern parts argh!!

So basically wondering if anyone can enlighten me on where the mounting brackets attach to.

Thank you

Rob

Rob, the x2 P shaped brackets both attach to the curved rear frame tube, one snugs up just underneath the arcuate suspension mount where it's attached to the frame tube, the other one goes down near the apex of the rear lower curve of the toolbox in a position to reach the frame tube. The L bracket goes at the lower back inner face of the toolbox near the front and mounts to the lower rear mudguard mount bracket that is at the rear of the vertical frame tube.

Thanks for that, I can see how/where they fit now you've explained it.
