Thanks, yeah the front view tells the story. Sorry I can't help your with regards painting, I'm not even that good with a rattle can. The on;y thing I can think of, is that if its been a while since you painted the seat and tank, you might be better to give them all a paint to avoid and shade differences due to UV's.
As soon as I get a Saturday with decent weather I'll do some painting. This is an experiment using red tape and most likely how it will be painted, I'm getting a 'BSA' stickers cut from carbon fiber sheet for on the white at the front:
The thing is definitely going better than it ever has, its more a brute than it is civilized, the brakes are fierce, engine doesn't want to stop pushing if the power is on. Fairing is good when riding, the five speed absolutely brilliant. Its lighter and smaller than the SV but more physical to ride.
I put ducting in the fairing so the majority of air going in the nose has to go through the oil cooler, and the oil pressure seems to be staying a little higher. When its painted I'll seal it completely with foam.
I finally have a fairing mounted that is simple to remove, 8 stainless screws, and its off. Two nuts and the upper frame is off as well leaving lights and everything else undisturbed.
Finally got the paint on it, sprayed the left side of the tank and seat as well. As they had some marks. Need to clean the thing and get some photos in the daytime. The front 'BSA' was in a carbon fibre looking stuff, but clearing over it has dissolved that appearance and its now just dark grey. It still looks ok but not how it did before the clear coat.
