kiwi-, kk,
Not so familiar with too different english words and phrases. I may foul with the "Basket case". My "case" - the "new" Commando - is in a basket. I've been collecting parts for the past 15 months. Sold my before this, '73 Commando (some friends still teasing me with "the one you gave away"...).

So just now - after having visited my friend the local Triumph/BSA/Norton dealer, this very day - I have 99% of the parts. Just missing some detailes (i.e. clutch cable, rear brakeplate kit)... But nothing but the engine/gbox is assembled shocked
Got a pair of new throttle valves today(old ones' 750 spec - "3" - Amals 932 as you know - 850 will have "3 1/2"). Just a little trip to the shop ripped me for 800$ (well, got the outer engine fastenings, the bolts'n washers pluss some. Strange how much all the "little things" for the Commando costs). Wifey after me now...

Regards
jangg
