Last year I missed out due to the hospital thing, sponsored a few riders instead But this year I will be there I am not particularly asking anyone to sponsor me but if anyone does wish to make a small donation it will be gratefully received by the nominated charities
I sympathise Al, neither am I fond of city/suburb riding. Sixteen years ago I had the good sense to get out of the rat race and return to my roots in the country, best thing I ever did. Alas not every one gets that opportunity and are locked in on account or work, family etc. Where we were living the whole place was rife with riceburning candidates for the Darwin Award, would be "look at me I'm hard" Milwaukee tractor drivers and half pissed homicidal four wheel cage users.
Blessed are the curious for they shall have adventures
Just a few more days, and two more sessions this week of being nuked in the leadlined bunker, to the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride on Sunday 25th Little did I know a year ago when I was laid low with unrelated health issues that twelve months later I would benefit from advances in therapies that should rid me of that nasty little thing lurking deep inside of me
Very cool! The white gloves really make it. And an appropriate ride. Where's Pete's photo?
Me and Pete at my place ready to leave
....It's about 18 miles to downtown Rochester....A street full of bikes being looked at by the riders... ....Then we rode a crazy route through the city up to Lake Ontario and back. We stopped as a group of 75 bikes several times... In all about 3 hours...I had earplugs but the hardtail ride and the blat of the open pipes is exhausting...There was two Nortons, five Meriden Triumphs, three airhead BMW's and about 15 classic Japanese machines. The rest were a mixture of newer standard bikes...
650 Triumph modified production LSR record holder 133.1 MPH... Twin 650 engine Triumph LSR that goes sorta fast...
I took Kevin's lead and went with Zenfolio. Moderately expensive (perhaps), but full featured web photo host site with excellent user experience. Been using them for over 1 year now, and I really like them. They offer much more than what I use them for; I'm pretty much using them for storage and posting to web forums. I make the occasional blog post there also. But, at some point I may go so far as to buy prints from them.
In my humble opinion, you get a lot for not too much from them.

...hello Pete, I have been daily riding my pre unit 500 custom for around 20 years in all type of distances. The trick is to have some kind of springs. I have horizontal springs (to not show them) in the seat construction. Also this week may be I will add a gel pad under the leather too.
