The weather for the meet was damp to start, just a few raindrops, but a really good day overall. I'll start posting some of the pics I took, not intending to give an official or comprehensive view, just what drew my attention. A few to start ...

My personal favorite for best of show:

My favorite custom

^^ That's one clean handlebar laugh

Swap meet was great:

All three of my registered Brit Bikes are in various stages of repair, so I rode the Ducati, I really like this kind of weather for riding, 60F or so, damp, maybe a bit of rain.

In Carlisle, Massachusetts, taking the long way:

Coffee stop before the meet:

Heading home, this is the old library in Harvard, Massachusetts:

More to follow ...

The meet featured British competition bikes, here are some

These two were for sale by Jerry Wood:

Kurt -

Looked like a lot of fun, good to see that these kinds of meets are still bringing people out. If I had one or two of those competition off-roaders (TR5T or B50), I'd be figuring out ways to hook up lights, put street tires on them, and get them on the road!

Weekend after next is the first "lite" Virginia British Motorcycle Club show in Richmond, VA after several years absence, I'll be there and see what's showing up.

Hi Lannis,

Credit to the organizers, BSA Owners Club of New England, for broadening the appeal, Hinckley machines, customs, for example. The two bobber/choppers there looked well-built, here's another:

The guy who parked his new Indian Scout in the Triumph line got called out on the PA, though grin had to move it behind the animal pens (it's a country fairgrounds) with the Guzzis and Ducatis, lol as they say ...

May 29 I'll be heading to the meet in in Oxford MA run by British Iron Association of Massachusetts, who have broadened the appeal by making it a British and all-classic motorcycle meet. Good idea, I think, to mix it up a bit and expose more people to the British machines.

Back some years ago Jaye Straight ran his Triumph Day (two days actually) in Sturbridge MA, and he had a class for rat bikes and a trophy for Best Rat. I mean, *real* rats, not faux rats. One trophy winner had been in a fire (the bike, not sure about the owner), it was still pretty crispy and half-melted laugh I'd like to see Best Rat category make a comeback.

Love the Triton cubed!!

That Trident in the '69 scheme, any idea what kind of front-end brakes those were?

Thanks for the pics!

Cheers,

Steve

You're welcome, just trying to give an impression of the bikes there. Often some of the same bikes show up at both meets, so if I see Triton cubed next Sunday, I'll take some more shots.

The 1914 BSA ran great, and the owner was riding around the grounds.

For sure, a lot of work to set up the T150 with disc brakes front & rear. At the next meet I'll aim for more details of particular bikes.

Now, one more batch of pics, a stroll through the swap meet. Lots of sellers, trailer loads and small tables, lots of good finds, parts and whole bikes. Now I'm psyched to get going on my TR7RV project.

I was tempted to buy this seat rail, then look for a BSA project to go with it

That's all for now, folks smile
