Hi Mates
On the last oil leak, it's on the oil feed pipe banjo, just noticed the bolt is a unified bolt haven't taken it out yet, but anybody know what thread it should be and if someone forced the wrong threaded bolt is it best to leave it or clean it up with the right threaded tap, also do they have fibre washers or copper or what?
All the best Barry

Hi Barry, sounds like you are using your bike unlike us here in Canada shoveling snow!
The banjo bolts P/N M214 are a very fine thread that measures up as 1/8 x 28 BSPP parallel thread. The original washers that came in the gasket kits are soft aluminum about 1/16 thick O.D .645 I.D. 375.
Myself I've replaced the washer with "Dowty Seals".you need 2 for each banjo.

Hi Johnnie
Thanks for that, at least it's a common thread and UNF is not far off, will let you know how I get on, talking about the weather, we had 4 days of over 40C last week, it's a bit like the cold you stay out of it, off the the Northam Vintage Auto swap-meet this weekend about 120 Kms away, will let you know if I pick any Velo parts up, all the best
Barry
