ca, us
When uploading a picture, unless you pay them for their advertisement free service, you will wait a long time for the upload. Similarly, if you move a picture from one library to another you get a pop-up that says "this might take a while".
They are not kidding!
What actually happens is the picture is uploaded or moved and you sit there waiting for it to come back with something saying it was completed.
What you need to do is open another tab in your browser and go to Photobucket then to the library that the picture is being uploaded or moved to and wait for it to show up there. You may have to refresh your browser periodically to check. Once it arrives you can close the original browser tab (which will still have you waiting) and then do whatever with the picture in the new tab.
Having advertisements for things I will never buy because I did not request them is one thing but intentionally making me wait for a response will never get me to buy their service.

I use uBlock addin on Chrome and that blocks all the idiot videos and extra webpages you otherwise get from Photobucket, other than the odd message on the page asking to stop blocking their ads there is nothing they can do wink

AdBlock Pro is what I use in Chromioum based browswers.
Ie: Chrome / Opera / Vivaldi / Comodo Dragon, ect...

As with the FireFox / Ice Dragon version, there are no "glitches or any hint that it is working other than piece {sic} of mind.

It's a great add on.

I just uploaded a photo to photobucket and posted it here, it took maybe a minute using free photobucket and free ad blocker, I've never had a problem with photobucket

When given the choice between two evils I picked the one I haven't tried before

dave is right-- sometimes the images are done loading but you won't get a message, and they don't appear in the album, either. i go look at the "recently uploaded" page, and copy the links from there. then the images appear in the correct albums later on.

Thanks for all the input on how to make pictures a little more easily available here, guys.

We all know it is a bit of a nightmare procedure on this site, and is really daunting to newcomers.

Anything constructive, as these posts have been, is certainly needed and welcomed!

btw, sometimes videos or images don't seem to load correctly, depending on the browser, although nothing otherwise is wrong.

for example, i load video on vivaldi but watch it on IE. photobucket with vivaldi is impossible, but eBay and craigslist searches are quick, which they are not with IE . . .

if you are having difficulties with an image host like photobucket, try another browser, maybe just for that task.
