Folks I have a company that stepped up and want to make new BritBike.com t-shirts.
The thing is that they (Steadfast cycles) are prepared to make small batches and stock them for sale.
For me that sounds good I think its about time we make a new design.
No there will not be all kinds of shirts and colors to chose from.

How can we come up with a design? anybody out there who is creative?
I could set up a poll but then I would need to ask the right questions.
Any volonteer out there wanna help out?

Below is the last type we made. Left is front side and right is back.

I personally like the logo and it's wording, the term pit stop isn't out of place for any form of road going vehicle.

I have mentioned off board that I would like to be involved in this as I have mentioned a T-shirt campaign in the past.

I have also suggested that forum members have a particular length of time - say two weeks to design and insert their design into the thread.
If the moderators are on board with this I think it is a good idea that they do the judging. Picking their favourite and the most picked gets to go on the shirt.

I think a world view Mollweide projection, nocturnal imagery, green on blue with a thousand points of light identifying all the members residence.
Doesn't have to be exact, just a sampling of all the known locations.
A wind blown banner across the bottom in script - "BritBike.Com estab. 1996"

Topped off with British manufacturers names in alphabetical order encircling the entire design in contrasting colors.

Other than that, I have no preferences..

Pocket "T"'s. Besides a place to keep your smokes it adds another place for a graphic, Ie: BritBike.com.

Whatever you fellas come up with, count me in for 4 of them.

Ps... Maybe brand specific versions... Triumph/BSA/Norton...

Edit: The images just showed. "Pit stop" is way cooler than "Forum"

Morgan, you could put three bikes, a bobbed BSA, a stock Triumph and a café racer style Norton all parked in front of an old style pub accurately named The Pit-Stop (Pub). Of course with BritBike.com stretched across the top. Which brand of bike is which wouldn’t really make a different I guess, just used those for the idea. But it’d make for an awesome tee I think, might have to buy 2 or 3 myself. bigt

I'd be happy with something similar to that.

That idea has reminded me of a picture a friend had, it had phil Ried and Mike Hailwood on the starting line of a race track.

Keeping with the racing theme, I think you could have

A gold star, Manx Norton and what ever garden gate triumph were racing at the time grin on the starting grid, with BSA PitStop in the background as though it was the BSA Pit Stop area.

Small Britbike motif of the front and large that spans across the shoulders on the rear.

Depending on how many colours you wanted to use, it could either be full colour or a silhouette.

Just my 2 cents... Pictures of bikes seems a little walMart bargain bin to me.

I'll wear a General Motors "T" but not with an image of Trans Am on it. Same for fish, boats, planes, guns ect...

Factory or race logos (if allowed) are a bit more upscale IMO.

No disrespect.

I think RF Whatley said it perfectly in another thread...

"You mean the T-shirt that has "BritBike.Com" slashed across the front, and the block lettering on the back that says "Proud to be in the 1%... that shifts on the right!" "

That's your new shirt right there!

Hi Guys,

Couple of small things: about the 1% that shifts on the right....the Hinckley Triumph folks might take umbrage at that one, although I love it. But they all shift on the wrong side, and we still want them to buy a shirt, right?

Another question: will a tank top be available? I can think of several friends who ride (new Triumph) British, and at least most of us would like tanks.

Other than that, I'm in. Oh, and a suggestion? Keep it simple. Blue and red would probably be cheaper to produce than multi-color, and people remember it. (Oh, right! A black shirt would require three colors of ink....rats.)

Oh, and small in front, large letter/logo on back? Cool....

So what's the verdict?

I like this idea<www.arialapparel.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=57> Small graphic across from pocket, with larger graphic on the back. Shirt color light to medium grey.I realize riding in a pocket-tee tears at the pocket, but you gotta have a pocket.Duluth Trading makes some super duty tee-shirts.<www.duluthtrading.com>They don't shrink a size after washing.Perhaps a Britbike logo on the front and factory logos on back, even James,Rudge,Brough Superior, etc.whatever fits/works,and the nod to the right side shift. This is a slow process, I have contct with one of our advertisers who say that can print
and sell the shirts.
However it sort of got stuck and right now nothing happens.
I may check out if we can jump onto it again but it looks like
we'll start with a regular Hanes Beefy tee black and or white.
small batches with about 35 in ea print session.
Oh yes again the print layout is not decided I have sent ove our BritBike logo.

Black not white. Jasper taught me to wear black whenever possible, it doesn't show dirt, so you can be dirty and no one will know.

Pajamas don't have pockets. Shirts DO have pockets. Gotta have somewhere to keep sunglasses, cigars, other things that would be crushed and bent if you stuck them in a pants pocket. I don't carry a purse.

If they make them in "Tall" sizes I'll bet a lot more people would take 'em. I'm still wearing my 1999 ones ..... Faded but still working!

this topic moves slowely however I hav now a possibility to work with this image below,
it will probably be the one for black shirt BUT
we will change message under the logo.
Please advice how toy would like it to be.
One example is
- British Motorcycle Forum
- Your BritBike Forum
- The BritBike Forum

[Linked Image]

I can also re- use the old design we used with Neil Keen or I can think of using another rider too of course
[Linked Image]

Or just BritBike.com logo in white....

Please let me know what you think........

Well, I like "British Motorcycle Forum"......and would love a tank-top. Is that possible? If not, a regular Tee would do. Just, as ever, my opinion.
