Gents (and ladies?)

My Vin-owning uncle passed away many years ago, leaving bikes, tools and manuals to be distributed amongst family & friends. I have some Vin-related books which I would like to pass on to an enthusiast if they (the books) would prove useful. I have:-

Photocopy of "Know thy Beast" second edition
"Forty years on" a collection of technical articles submitted to MPH by club members from 1949 to 1988
"Vincent - Motorcycle maintenance and repair series" by Paul Richardson, a small, A6-sized paperback

Free to anyone wishing to collect from the UK, or I'll send them for the price of the postage.

Cheers,

Eddy

Hello Eddy,

Sorry for your loss of Uncle, was he a long time Vin owner in Lancs? I might have known him.
Sent you a PM, don't know if it got through.
Is Forty Years On still available?

Cheers
Phil

Hi Phil

My "uncle" (in fact, the lifelong partner of my aunt Joan - they never married) lived in South London. He was called Brian Clark and owned a Shadow-ised Series D Rapide, a Comet and a Meteor, though the latter two were never completed during his lifetime. After he died in late 1997 all the bikes were disposed of by Joan (there were a few basket-case BMW R25 and R27 singles, too). I still wear his Lewis Leathers jacket, and my cousin Charlie rides one of the BMWs.

All books still available if you'd like them. I'd just like them to find a home.

Cheers,

Eddy

Hello Eddy,
Sorry about the long time no reply - work and life has been .....crazy!
Thank you for the offer.
As no-one else has claimed any of the remaining books can I claim all?

Sorry, I do not directly remember your relative, there were many faces from the 'South East' in those heady days (what that I remember of it!).

Do you want me to send my private addy to your britbike PM, I can then send you my address.
Failing that I am heading up to Lancashire within the next month, any chance I could buy you a beer at the same time?
