Hey

I am thinking of creating a new t-shirt maybe some decals and or stickers.
BritBike logo is pretty long so I have now increased the height by 25% so it will be high enough for small decals even made it a bit higher by adding text under it.

Would below work for t-shirt meaning would you be interested in getting one or a few.
I'm thinking on black shirt but would it be interesting with white shirts also???

Well here is the image anyway both with black and white background..
Let me know what you think..

Hi Morgan,

I'd like a sweatshirt for the winter, and a couple of tee-shirts for summer! Would the logo be large on the back and small on the front, or single-side, or what?

I also love the idea of decals or stickers! I have BMWMOA stickers on my Beemers and on my car! We could use some BB.C stickers, too!

At this moment I have no intention in making sweatshirts but i will look into it also.
regarding tshirts I would hope I can have them with print back and front if possible.

Since it is more expensive for me to ship mainly abvroad i'm thinking of getting someone else to print sell ship them for me. Like the way Lowbrow did in the past. They will then send a small commission for their britbike logo "licence" or what ever you would like to call it.

The big issue is the images above ok?
Do you like it and would you order

tshirts color

About decals what size would you put on your
bike/helmet 4", 5" or other size???

I think the logo is fine and I'd buy a couple no matter what color you decide on.

That's a good point Barb. Personally, I like the idea of the large logo on the back and a smaller logo (over the heart) on the front. But it's cheaper if the screenprinter doesn't have to turn the shirt over during the process.

Either way.....Morgan I like the BLACK t-shirt with the logo....and I LOVE the logo.

I was in the process of doing another t-shirt sale back when Tarvin passed away....had gone as far as working on the design. But Tarvin passed and we did some shirts for him and gave the profits to his family. Lowbrow showed up around that same time and I felt it wasn't in the site's best interest to go ahead with the sale....so I let it go.

I have some t-shirt background......I like the 100% cotton heavyweight Ts....IMO they have the best "hand". 9 times out of 10 when you purchase the shirts from a screenprinter...they are seconds. (don't believe what they might tell you) Most people could/would NEVER be able tell the difference...how many of you know what a needle cut looks like before the shirt is washed? (if you've ever had a small hole show up after the shirt's been washed a couple of times..that's probably from a needle cut that happened during the knitting process) A lot of times the shirt is rejected because of the size not making specs....no other flaws other than that. Just be sure you're getting/selling a good quality shirt (hint: you PAY for what you get in this case) and go with something like the old Haynes Beefy T and you'll be good to go.

I think it would be easy to find somebody to do your shirts Morgan.....and I would think they would sell. I'd like a couple myself.

THE LOGO is PERFECT just the way it is and would look GREAT on a T-shirt.

din BSA broder in NC, USA Gordon (who will have some bb.com lapel pins to give away soon)

As far as i understand it the logo above is ok so I just need to finnish it ten.
I would prefer to print on both sides.

On the back i reckon about 9" width and same on front however I might consider a smaller above the heart but we'll see what the cost for two different sizes are instead of one size..

One option is also to do a one color print but i hope for multi color.

My Mrs also ask for a ladies version top and in that case a small logo could be useful...

One reason for me to let someone else do the print/pack/shipping is that if I were to do it here in Sweden or having it shipped here then the overall cost would be much higher.
1, we have 25% VAT tax
2, most shirts sells in US and shipping could be between $14.00-$17.00 for each shirt. Somehow we have about double rate to send to you then the opposite way..
I have a couple more reasons but above is enough.

Gordon you did a great job in the past doing all the stuff and i would not like to give this job again to you.
Lowbrow did everything for BritBike and gave a few dollars in commission on each sold shirt but I ended giving away quiet a few so there was not much of profit. Not sure Lowbrow would do it again.

Then we have Steadfast in california thay have stepped up and said thay could do it. I'm awaiting a sample of there own shirts. Not sure at all that it will be something with them.. Still I would like to be prepared when a decision must be made.

Gordon very interesting about the quality of the shirts you wrote about.

That's about it right now.

Morgan....I don't think you'll have a problem selling the shirts no matter which way you have them printed.

I never got one of the "Lowbrow" shirts but did see a lot of them around and never heard a complaint.

There's still a few of our 1999/2000 shirts out there and they still look pretty good for their age....which says something about the quality of the screen printing which is another thing to consider.

The Tarvin shirts I had made up....were a hurry up deal and I used someone I didn't know and was never happy with the design, the printing or the shirt. Live and learn.

Not to change the subject, but to keep you updated. I'm still working on the bb.com pin design and will send you some options as soon as I have them. We're close but not there just yet. Trying to get the color in the ".COM" might be a problem....so we're working on it.

Have a safe and happy holidays....din BSA broder in NC, USA Gordon

Hi Morgan and All,

It seems to me that if we are willing to pay what it is worth, the site should make money on whatever type of shirt is produced. Gordon is of course spot on about quality, but that aside, I would think there would be a market for tee-shirts, sweat-shirts and, as I assume Anki meant, tank tops. I'd *love* a couple of black tanks with the logo on them! (I've lost almost 50 lbs and can show off a little bit.....)

Having said that, no matter what you decide or what color it is, I want a couple. And a decal to go on a windshield next to the TSMR sticker would be GREAT!

Let's do it....

Well I have now received a test shirt from Steadfast it was a
100% cotton
made in Mexico
it reads wash cold 30 degrees that must be metric and normally we use std 40 or 60 degrees which is a bit warmer water.

I asked them to check this thread and comment on specially Gordons replies.

That's what I know now.
cheers

We have a few waterside and a few self adhesive decals, they are not cheap but three types and only 100 in total was made so there is no benefoit from ordering plenty.

So far three order has come thru and if there is a a demand we'll keep on doing it otherwise we'll drop it. I will put decals on my bsa's that's fro sure.

cheers

I like both T-shirt colours Morgan, the black is a little more "serviceable" at camping events, however on a hot day the white is more practical.

Which ever the colour I would be tempted to have my name put on the back. grin

Morgan, here is one more suggestion. I like your logo on black, white, or blue, but I hate wearing tee shirts that have no pocket in front. I have some motorcycle tees that I never use because they have no pocket, and I don't plan to buy any more like that. If you could have a pocket version, I'd be interested in several shirts.

I for one wouldn't particularly want a T-shirt with a pocket, but each to their own and I respect Rays opinion. Taking the spectrum a little further, how about embroided badges? of maybe 2 sizes? a small badge which could be sewn onto a pocket or sleeve and maybe a larger badge for a the back or front panel.

I haven't bought any of the vinyl decals simply because I don't have anywhere to fit them, all my luggage is soft panniers so a vinyl sticker won't work there but a sew on one would! I would also sew them on to various bike shirts, polo shirts, bike jackets etc I own. Others may wish to sew them on to pre-existing BSA/Triumph etc shirts.

Don't get me wrong though - I do like the t-shirt idea and I would/will buy one, but you can possibly advertise the site more and possibly sell more if this idea was an option

FWIW my 2c
