I think he may have used them on another project, or maybe he sold them. I can't imagine why though, what would it take to damage them beyond repair?

I must be going crazy!
This is BSA number 3 that I've just bought from Baxter's.
I'm still waiting for the MK II and MK III Spitfires but decided that the big engine is going to go into just whatever A65 I could find with the twin leading shoe front brake and this one came up.
Hopefully the MK III from LA will be here real soon. The MK II is on a vessel due in Sydney on the 19 of Feb!

Don't worry, John, I have the same "problem".
I have just figured out that I bought 9 bikes last year and, as befits my name, 6 of them were triples!
It is a virulent disease for which there is no known cure---except as in my case---running rapidly out of storage space!

Here is my 1937 B21 resurrected from a collection of semi-derelict bits found in North Wales. I call it a "fully repaired" motorcycle i.e I have done the work to make it ridable and safe. No it's not "Restored" nor is it going to be, it's taken 88 years to get the way it is, and I'm not going to spoil it now.

Thank you Jon and Peter. There is a little more to do to make it street legal - make the lights to work, and a bit more to do on the clutch. Hope to be out on it once the weather picks up. Couldn't of course ride it as found, the front fork links, bushes and spindles were so worn the clearances added up to more that a quarter of an inch movement at the wheel spindle. Now that would have been "fun" to ride!

Jack you need to read Clangers story in Members Bike Projects. He brought one of these back from the dead a few years ago. Very original with lots of patina.
You might have to trawl back a few pages to find it though but worth the effort.

Can you imagine the sales if BSA had followed that sort of route instead of those ugly OIF things back in the day.
I think it looks bloody magic.

Cheers John
