I live in Hull. Jordan's motorcycles are no more.

Janet, not really very suprising, considering these ads are from 1953, 54, and 55.

The more important question I would think is, how long did they last? When did they officially go out of business?

I moved to Hull in 1979 and I don't remember the shop in Story Street being open then. Technically, they didn't go out of business as the company is still trading, albeit having moved on from motorcycles.

Quote:
Welcome to Jordans Super Centre

Based in Hull and a member of a long-established family group of companies, Jordan's are independent and deeply committed to providing the highest levels of service and value for money.

Established in the early 1900's, originally as a bicycle retailer based in Hull City Centre, which then progressed into selling motorcycles and finally became a car retailer.

Oh my! With the exchange rates, I may be able to afford two of these bikes. Give me the Thunderbird and an AJS!

Cheers
