Well safe travels all!

This thread is at an end.

But every end is a beginning.

So after two days of fettling on the Thunderwing I'm moving over to the TSMR side.

The adventure continues...

Semper did you do any oil changes on the road?
Just curious. 6000 miles is a long way without.

Yes. I dumped the oil and changed the rear shock springs at the Yamaha place in Petaluma. 3000 miles is my interval for fresh Valvoline VR-1 20W50. I didn't change the spin-on filter until I got back to Atlanta though. I gotta hand it to Hagon - they sent me some stiffer springs gratis to the KOA in Petaluma. That got the rear end working right for the tremendous load I was carrying. I should have check the valves there too but was having too much fun....

BTW - The Yamaha mechanic working on my bike had one Whitworth wrench in his box. I didn't ask but he gave it to me! He said "You probably need this more than I do." smile

Is it even possible to catch a shot of you on a race bike when you're NOT wiping out? laughing

I'm surprised it didn't get commandeered as it lay in the parking lot of the Blowing Rock Inn.

Yea....I bet I was the only person in that parking lot that knew how rare that thing was/is. laughing Okay....the truth be known it is rare but it's also BSA unit single...so I might have been one of only two or three others in the parking who would have even cared.... laughing

Either way....I sure am glad I found it and it wouldn't have happened if Alex hadn't helped me....oh and bigt bigt bigt for the "boys" for hauling it across the country for me. bigt

Thanks fellows.....sure is good to have friends like you guys...Gordon in NC (aka Opie)

Thanks. I can't wait to get out there again.

Today I flew over Yosemite. I could see the Tioga road and the frozen lakes from 37,000 feet. Would that I was back down there riding...
