Mark Bohman 513-367-6402 in Ohio..He gives forum members a discount and his work is excellent...His prices are also not to be beaten...He repairs magnetic and chronometric instruments and his service is great..It's really refreshing to add another honest person to the list of suppliers I deal with on these bikes..Beware of private peace...Price is right but he is hard to deal with and does subpar work ...IMO
I think if they are fixed properly thay stay fixed.
20,000 miles on my rebuilt speedo and going strong. Had to get the NOS tach rebuilt after about 5,000 of those. That is expected with old NOS instruments I believe.
If the face and needle are good you might opt to use the originals rather than have them replaced as a matter of course. My rebulit speedo has faded badly in 6 years - the face and the needle. The NOS one is as good as the day I put it on.
When I asked Mr instrument dude, he said he uses model paint for the needle as it matches the original colour. Trouble is it has no UV protection. Ditto whatever was used to print the face.
Not sure what the guys recommended above do. Worth discussing though.
