It would appear the Austria British spares shop has the market cornered on pre war silencers. They are kind of expensive in general, i.e. exhaust pipe nearly double the price of everywhere else. Anyone got other sources? I need the R, B, or M series 350cc fishtail and can.

Do not go to Armours, they have any 'if it does not fit its nothing to do with us its your bike that's wrong' policy, so not worth the risk.

And if it's anything like the A65 silencers they are that far over baffled the bike won't rev out cleanly.

That is exactly the reply I got about my "stock" AJS pipe/bike.

AVOID Armours!

The only other place I've found is vintage-replica.cz. $178 euros for bare metal. Factor in the exchange rate plus chroming and ouch!

A quality fish tail isn't going to be cheap, and quality parts command a high price for a reason.

And if you're the only seller worldwide with a functioning website for worldwide purchasers, you can pretty much charge what you want, can't you?
I'm not looking for cheap chinese crap, just don't need to be taken to the cleaners if I don't have to be. As I mentioned before, an exhaust pipe at the Austria place is $110 euros. I'd guess it's the same or not much different from one you can buy at feked for $50 quid. MANY of the products they sell are available elsewhere and are more expensive than, well, everywhere. I'd love to be in a position where I could just buy everything I wanted right when I saw it but the kids have this crazy idea that I should feed and clothe them.

You could try Overlander Equipment in Australia.

They list Sloper mufflers and a couple of others.

V Twin Muffler and fin pressed 2 inlets $305
Sloper Engine pipes 500 (600) ($340) $330 Pr
Sloper, Empire Star Muffler and fin pressed $285

I don't know enough about the pre-War BSAs to know what the differences were between models and years.

Shane in Oz, thanks for that. I've sent off an email inquiry although stuff looks pretty pricey.

I did find this cast aluminum Brooklands can which looks kinda cool and it's the right size inlet. Brooklands can
