My son just sent this to me....if you were there and and happened to be in the parking lot when the camera vehicle came by you might be in this shot.

I guess if you have Google Earth and search Shady Valley Tn....you'll see us at the lunch stop.

I see my son, his friend Joe, Windy and myself in this close up.

That guy in the gray and black jacket on the right has been known to pass a bottle of moonshine around. Interesting find, Gordon. Greg

Mike I guess Google has to do that because of privacy issues. Hard to imagine they have to pay somebody to go through all the footage and do that....what a shame...but I guess necessary.

When you view Google maps (satellite view) the parking lot is empty...it's only on Google Earth's street view that we show up. Looking at it in full view....I see a LOT of TSMR riders. That would have been 2012...you can see Fay in her vest...because Lannis and her lead a group that year.

Figure it'll be on there for a long time...how often would you think they would go to the trouble to change it?

Googled in TN and still kicking it in Mayberry....Opie Gone Bad

Gordon et al,

What a hoot!

I'll have to break out the iPad to check this out, as my trusty but crusty PC has a stone age video/graphics card...

:sigh

A big ol "guffaw" to THAT, my friend!
Hey too bad GE's IT dept can't implement a "slimming" or "muscle up" editing program, to buff people up as well as blur the faces, eh? laughing

Good eye! That IS Fay; and that must be Semper Gumby next to her looking the Stelvio over ....

Lannis

I stopped believing for a little while this morning. Journey is really going to be upset.

Lannis....Booth only sent me that blown up section of the complete street view. If you go to Google Earth you can see the whole parking lot....from Tom Sanders on the far left to the chase van parked along 421. (you're standing next to Fay and I think that's Bill??? or Mike??? talking to you and Fay)

We should be there for a few years at least.

I think it's pretty neat that Windy is right there in plane view....very fitting. bigt

For those of you that don't use/have Google Earth

This shot is what you'll see in maps....notice that the parking lot is empty...this is a satellite view of the Country Store, our lunch stop.

I see lots of folks here I know

Tom Sanders to chase van

Notice they didn't fuzz out Mr Ben, Powdercoat Tom or Fay's face?? Okay I figure they thought it would be a crime to fuzz out Fay's and the other two were fuzzy enough laughing

and yes....that's Bill looking at Lannis' bike.

Back to work.....Opie Gone Bad

Yes, definitely SG in the gray jacket, not Mike Baker. I'm in the white longsleeve t-shirt near Don Roe on the left. Greg

Those without Google Earth can access the same technology with Google Maps.

What is pretty cool is importing GPS tracks into Google Earth and overlaying them on satellite photos, then doing a 3D fly-over. Yeah, you need a healthy computer, but it is cool!

Thanks for posting all the pix/screen shots! I messed around both on my PC and my iPad but never could get the street view of Shady Vally.

This must be from 2012 cuz there is none of that rain or fog residue evident that I recall from this year's TSMR. :-)

And while I was not paying close attention to maps & directions etc, (as Mr. Gordon knows all too well)...I do know PC Tom & Mr. Roe were not with us at lunch this year...oh...other than in spirit I meant.

Cool find kudos to Booth

Maybe I'm blurry because I'd had too much to drink?
