Hi,

I am after sourcing a set of pushrods for an A65 engine. There is a set on eBay under part # 71-1620 with stated lengths of 6.5" and 7.75" Can anyone tell me if they will fit?
I searched for forum and there are a couple of lengths that people quote 163/164 mm and 195/196 mm, along with imperial sizes of , 6 7/16" and 7 11/16"

Seems to be quite a variance on the forum. Can anyone shed any light on which dimensions are correct?
Dave

update, I just noticed the same seller has listed a set of A65 pushrods and is quoting a length of 6 3/8" Seems he does not know what length is correct either! Here is full set

I'm not sure what you mean by variance, its just variance in measuring I suppose. And variance in our memories........I just had to review this a few weeks ago because I didn't want to pull some out of a motor to measure before sendin back some eBay rods. 6 7/16" and 7 11/16" sounds right, I'll go look.

Yep, 164mm and 196mm or 6 7/16" and 7 11/16" as per previous discussions here and measurements I made since I last had to ask.

You should state where the measurements are made. A better measurement would be to put balls in the pushrod pockets (same size as the rocker pin) and measure over the balls.

Thanks for the replies. I will leave the eBay sets alone. Their stated measurements do not tally with information on the forum.
