Or any other locals whose bikes can stand a bit of dust and dirt! I'm gonna be in the neighborhood Oct 17-18-19, outside of Morganton NC at Steele Creek Campground for a 2 day adventure bike ride.

Think pavement, gravel roads, jeep roads, logging roads {no single track!} Should be nothing a vintage bike cant handle, maybe just not a nimbly as the modern machines.

Best of all, the ride is free {although donations will be accepted, all proceeds to cancer research}

Hey Ob....thanks for the invite but when I sold my B25 Trials bike to Alex it had been sitting unused for over a year....and there's a reason for it.

I had a GREAT roll (pun intended) riding off road, some of the BEST times I've had on a motorcycle but I'm done with it. You might find me on a gravel road from time to time...but that's about it. I got by all those years without spending more than three months in a cast. frown I'm not going to put myself in that situation (if I can help it) again. I've ridden enough off road to know if I say out there long enough...somethings going to happen and I won't heal like I did when I was 20.

I know 63 is NOT that old.....but a few years back, I made the decision to let that part of my life go.

Take care and have fun......Kicking it in Mayberry....Opie Gone Bad
