I will be grateful if I could find out the dimensions of the white or silver pin striping on the fuel tank. I need the width of the outer and inner stripe and the space between the stripes. The outer stripe was wider than the inner.Hopefully someone has an original candy apple red painted interstate tank.My Mk2A has Engine No. 320516 and was bought by me in 1974.

The brochures and surviving bikes seem to show equal size pinstripes, until the Mk3 ?

This 74 Mk2A sold by Shannons recently.

My black-n-gold Insterstate tank also has equal size pinstripes.
Space between them is about the width of the pinstripe.
But it wasn't bought new, and not quite sure of the year...

With Nortons though, nothing is written in stone.
You don't have any photos as a guide ?
Pinstripes are quite fine.

I have a 850 Mk2A Interstate in candy apple red, that still has the original paint on the tank.
I checked the dimentions of the striping for you, the stripes are both 1/8 inch wide, and 1/8 inch apart.

Thank you for those dimensions. Now to a sign writer because my ex Spray Painter painted the Tank but did not apply pin striping.

Thanks,
Parrothead
