There are 3 bikes at Big D
All are X factory 1967 -68 Team bikes
Need pictures to verify certain details
All the team bikes were virtually identical so any pictures would help

Dick Hammer's bike is at the AMA Motorcycle Museum in Pickering Ohio. http://motorcyclemuseum.org/halloffame/d...mp;discipline=4

Contact Bret from Glass From The Past for exact copies of the Triumph factory racing tanks and seat. http://www.gftpstore.com/Triumph-Fuel-Tank-TRIFTA-TRIFTA.htm

A few shots of the Percy Tait bike now owned by Mick Hemmings for a comparison with the U.S. based racers.

This might be interesting as well. Jaeson Caunce's 500 replica at Beezumph 2010.

An apres race pit shot at Daytona, 1967.

I've often wondered who that smiling little kid is.

Do any of the BC guys have info on the Triumph that Tim Coopey #113 of BC rode for Deeley at Daytona 1968?
Pictures would be great...the current location of the bike would be even better

Hi! I sell old literature from old mags at my e-bay store.

Deadstiffcatt Motorcycle Literature ,

Seller i.d. bookbarter1

I'm currently processing about 6 1968 mags, have not found much of what you are looking for, but you can keep an eye on my store for those listings coming up in the next couple of weeks. I'm always adding new things, so feel free to keep checking. Joe

The Tait bike has some features I have never seen before. Does anyone know about the rocker boxes? There is an extra plug and a boss or cavity in the middle.
..and the removed fin on the cylinder head? Looks like there is lots of welding. Maybe for porting?

The formula for how many motorcycles to own is:
n+1=y
n = the number of motorcycles you currently own.

Tait's bike has specially designed rockers that are adjusted at the top of the pushrod instead of at the valve stem. Apparently this design makes for less wear on the stem. The rocker boxes are of a unique design which enable that adjustment. The missing fin and the additional welding are due to the head bolts being relocated to act as through bolts that also secure the barrels to the cases. They are not actually bolts but threaded rods that fit a nut. This not only gives a more secure fitting of head and barrels but causes less wear and tear on the barrel threads when heads are being constantly removed during testing. You will note that the barrels on Tait's bike don't have the familiar through studes and nuts.

Talked to Bob Work
He was the head of Deeley Racing at the time
The bike was X factory
Raced by not only Coopey but DuHamel as well at Westwood and Harewood
So far:
1 out of 5 1966s
5 out of 6 1967s
0 out of 6 1968s
The hunt continues

I was excited to see someone do this book, but except for a few pages was totally disappointed! In one way or another I built or sponsored one of these bikes since 1959. Followed the factory efforts closely. He captured little of the reason this bike was produced and who made it famous.

Looking forward to more photos here, too.

Need pictures of the T100R factory road racers
If you know anybody who was walking thru the pits taking pictures
Bikes in the pits or side shots with detail are needed

The 3 bikes at Big D have been identified
H52104 Nixon 1967, Davenport 1968
H52105 Romero 1967, Odom 1968
T100GR#20 Romero 1969
