Nice pics David, thanks for posting. :bigt
I always loved the Interceptors in USA trim, the small fuel tank made the engine look even more impressive.

Lucky duck. Wish I could get out on mine! Real nice looker. My complaint with the 2 gal. Chrome peanut is looking for gas every 80-90 miles. I know it ain't original but I modified a 4 gal. Trailblazer tank about 20 years ago and haven't looked back.

David, It's a beauty. I love the look and handling of an Interceptor with low handlebars. I switched mine to Emgo Euro bars earlier this year. A friend took this picture at the Curtiss Classic.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the positive comments. I'm glad to see more picture activity on this board. It seems like the BSA/Triumph/Norton boards get all the action. It's too bad for me that so many of you are on the east coast, because I'd love to get do a photo with a bunch of Interceptors.

Don: I agree that the 2 gallon tank can be very annoying. However, I don't do enough long rides for this to really bother me, but I like your solution. It fits the bike well, and who cares if it's original?

Tamalecks: I agree, I think the low bars make the bike look a lot lighter.

Best,

David

My bike had straight bars on it when I got it back in the early 90's. I liked them! They made the bike look mean. I later put on low bars liked David's bike has around 2000 and this changed the whole feel of the bike. I recently put the stock bars on it and I am still not sure if I like how it rides/looks. I think I might put the low bars back on. Let's see some more PIcs!!!! Oh, and ask me how many times I ran out of gas with that small tank!!!!!!

Here's a couple pics I took after installing the Emgo Euro bar. Look how dried out my lawn was last summer. We went for weeks without having to mow. It was great! But it did look awful.
The bike handles better. The scrambler bars made me feel like I was "hanging on". With the low bar I feel more part of the bike, like I "fit into it".

That's a pretty picture Brian. In contrast, I can show you ugly. What my 65 Series1 looked like when I got it a few years ago.

Well as long as we seem to be " hung up " on Interceptors here's mine on my redneck bike lift.
